A Global School with a Local Impact
At the School of Architecture, Art, and Design (EAAD) at Tecnológico de Monterrey, we cultivate creative leaders who reimagine the environments we inhabit through innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible practices. Our transdisciplinary approach and challenge-based learning bring art, design, and architecture into dialogue with the complex challenges of our time, empowering our students to imagine and shape more just, resilient, and sustainable futures.
Message from the National Dean
At the School of Architecture, Art, and Design (EAAD) of Tecnológico de Monterrey, we believe that design, art, architecture, and urbanism are transformative forces capable of imagining and building more just, sustainable, and humane futures. Our community shares the conviction that creativity is an act of responsibility and hope.
As National Dean, I am proud to lead a school renowned for its entrepreneurial spirit, academic excellence, and commitment to social impact. At EAAD, we cultivate an education that brings together critical thinking and creative action, recognizes cultural diversity as a source of innovation, and empowers each individual to develop their own voice, purpose, and agency.
From Mexico and for the world, we seek to develop creative leaders and committed citizens who understand the power of design as a catalyst for systemic change. We want every project, space, creation, and idea emerging from our School to contribute to more equitable, regenerative, and meaningful ways of living together.
EAAD is, at its heart, a community that designs to transform—with passion, rigor, and a deep sense of purpose.
Mariana V. Amatullo, PhD, FRSA, National Dean of EAAD
