A global school with a local impact
At the School of Architecture, Art, and Design (EAAD) of Tecnológico de Monterrey, we foster the development of creative leaders who reimagine the environment through innovative, sustainable, and socially responsible solutions. Our transdisciplinary approach and challenge-based learning connect art, design, and architecture with the challenges of the present.
Message from the dean
At the School of Architecture, Art, and Design (EAAD) of Tecnológico de Monterrey, we believe that design, art, architecture, and urbanism are transformative forces capable of imagining and building more just, sustainable, and humane futures. Our community shares the conviction that creativity is an act of responsibility and hope.
As National Dean, I am proud to lead a school that is renowned for its entrepreneurial spirit, academic excellence, and commitment to social impact. At EAAD, we cultivate an education that blends critical thinking with creative action, recognizes cultural diversity as a source of innovation, and empowers each individual to develop his or her own voice, with purpose and agency.
From Mexico and for the world, we strive to develop creative leaders and committed citizens, aware of the power of design as a catalyst for systemic change. We aspire for every project, every space, every work, and every idea conceived in our School to contribute to imagining more equitable and regenerative shared futures.
EAAD is, in essence, a community that designs to transform, with passion, with rigor, and with a deep sense of purpose.
Mariana V. Amatullo, PhD, FRSA, National Dean of EAAD
