Sustainable Territorial Development
An architect from Universidad de la República (Uruguay), she holds a PhD in Architectural Theory and History from the ETSAB-UPC, where she also earned master's degrees in Theory and History and the 21st-Century Sustainable Collective Housing Laboratory. She is a research professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro Campus, and a member of the Theory and Criticism Research Group and the Transdisciplinary Care Cluster. Her work focuses on the theoretical and methodological dimensions of the intersectional gender perspective applied to architecture and the city, women's history, and feminist and ecofeminist theories. She has researched and worked extensively on collective housing, care, social management of habitat, and cooperative models. She has taught at universities in Latin America and Europe, including UPC, PUCE, UBA, UNED, UdelaR, and Escola Sert. At FADU-UdelaR, she led the Project Workshop and was a researcher in the Permanent Housing Unit. She was also a professor in the Master's in Housing program at UPC and co-organized international conferences on this subject. Since 2015, she has been a writer and editor for the website Un día | Una arquitecta, and collaborates on the Miradas Situadas – NAM project at Universidad de Alicante. She has worked as an external consultant on urban plans with a gender focus for public administrations in Uruguay and Spain.
